We recently had the privilege of partnering with the AACOBB Executive Committee (EC) on a website development project aimed at enhancing their digital presence.
AACOBB serves as a key platform for money laundering prevention officers and professionals within the banking sector, supporting the broader financial crime prevention community. Their mission is to represent these professionals, encourage dialogue, and provide continuous professional development to strengthen efforts against financial crimes.
Our goal was to design and deliver a dynamic, secure website capable of meeting the diverse needs of 62 banks, each with unique requirements.
As a result, the new website has driven a 75% increase in user engagement, significantly improving usability and accessibility.

Main Requirements
The AACOBB EC outlined several critical requirements:
- Confidential Circulars Access: Secure sections for confidential circulars were required. We implemented unique usernames and passwords for 61 banks to access these areas.
- Admin Panel for Updates: Each EC member needed login access to update their bank’s static information. The website was optimized for fast load times, mobile responsiveness, SEO, and included daily automatic backups, along with DDoS and malware protection.
- Performance & Security Optimization: We ensured full browser compatibility, strong web security, and performance optimization, integrating analytics tools for data-driven insights.
Design Approval Process
We conducted a series of online meetings to explain each design element. After initial reviews, the AACOBB EC presented the designs to their members for feedback, which we incorporated to finalize the design phase.
Technology Used
We chose WordPress CMS as the backbone of this project due to its flexibility and scalability.
WordPress allowed us to deliver:
- Secure user access for multiple banks
- Seamless content management
- Integration of SEO, security, and performance enhancements via plugins
Testing and Quality Assurance
Our UI/UX design team created the initial designs, which were reviewed by the web development, marketing, and SEO teams. Feedback was collected, refined, and implemented before presenting the final version to the client.
Design Solutions & Process
We began with research focused on AML practices and prepared three design layouts for the association. During our first meeting, the AACOBB EC was presented with these layouts. Subsequent meetings involved detailed briefings on each design element, with all feedback incorporated to finalize the designs.
Technical Solutions Provided
- Domain Transfer: Migrated their domain from the previous provider to our server.
- Secure Access: Built password-protected landing pages accessible by 62 banks.
- Security Measures: Implemented DDoS protection, malware safeguards, and web security enhancements.
Identified Problems & Challenges
- Domain and Hosting Transfer: The previous provider operated in a different time zone, requiring late-night communications to verify transfer emails. The process took 7 days to complete.
- Client Requirements Management: With 62 banks involved, meetings often included 10-15 client team members, each with unique requirements. After each session, we consolidated points with 2 key points of contact to make final decisions.
- Design Approval & Timeline: With a conference scheduled for March 1st, we needed to finalize design and start migration by February 26th. Despite late design approval on February 17th, the website was completed within 7-8 days.

The final website was handed over during an online meeting with EC members, meeting all initial goals:
